About AAK
Australian Aircraft Kits was established in 2003 by Ole Hartmann and has been working since then on delivering design solutions and Aircraft for STOL/Utility operations in the RAA and GA experimental / LSA classes.
Australian Aircraft Kits is an award winning design and manufacturing company of all metal aircraft and is located at the sunny Mid North Coast of Australia. Aircraft are manufactured and built here to the latest industry standards on all levels from initial design to aircraft construction, parts manufacture, component assembly, instrumentation , power plant and propellers, protective coatings , decals and flight testing.

AAK HORNET 5000 h +
Recently Sam B. from Lammer Moore Station in North Queensland advised again from the cockpit during flight ( thanks to Blue tooth) advising that his Hornet aircraft has passed the 5000+ hour mark. ” Congratulations to Sam… well done “.
Sam uses his Hornet extensively for station managment and all the little jobs along the way, fixing fences , cleaning cattle troughs, getting cattle of the road, checking pipe lines… He assures , the Hornet aircraft is an extremely valuable tool to have for his operation.
Another HORNET CUB with 2700 h +new Rotax 915is installed and operating
Congratulations to Tim Oldfield from Belalie Station in north west NSW on completing 2700h with his Hornet CUB fitted with a Rotax 914 engine. The Hornet CUB was re -engined with a Rotax 915is and Airmaster propeller. Tim uses his Hornet aircraft extensively arround the station for all the jobs that need doing regardless to land vehicle accses or not. He assures the Hornet aircraft is the ideal aircraft for his operation and is built to last in this environment. Operating cost are well below the $ 100/h mark and the new Rotax 915is engine is delivering proven relaiability with better fuel economy and more power.

Hi all bush flyers and nostalgic aircraft fans. In tribute to the PC6 Pilatus Porters finalised production in Switzerland. I have designed and built the AAK Porter. A full metal version of the legendary Porter in a timely adjusted design and size, suitable to the available Power plants and regulatory registration requirements f or operation. A cool retro look with large undercarriage and suitable bush flying design, high ground clearance and powered by a Rotax 916isTurbo, this aircraft will surely impress. Suited for the extendded adventure trip in the Bush or transport and logistic support for property managment.
Based on the construction and design techniques of our famous Hornet STOL and Hornet CUB this aircraft will shine with exceptional handling, great performance, fantastic visibility to match the task on hand and most of all a great fun factor for both pilots and passenger for a long time to own.
